Understanding User Behaviors and Market

💬 Customer Discovery
I conducted user interviews and analyzed survey results of our target customers (22-50 age).

📊 Competitor Analysis
To find a product-fit market, I looked into other competitors and previously failed companies in the online delivering marketplace to find markets and users need.

📝 UX Patterns
To create a flawless flow from navigation to checkout, I explored and researched other existing products.

User Behaviors

Ordering food of users (22-50 age)

  • Searching the restaurant they have already in mind
  • Searching what promotion event is going on nearby
  • Ordering the same menu that they ordered recently

User Interviews

I found out these users' needs through interviews.

“Thinking of what I would like to eat today, every time I feel tired to choose menu.”

"The whole process of choosing, purchasing takes too much time, which makes hard to order.”

"It is sometimes hard to find how my order is going.”

Competitor Analysis

To learn more about the product-market fit layer, I analyzed the current existing online delivering platforms, if they have met the users’ needs met or not.
The repetitive failure/weakness point that I found out was that most of delivering apps have too many information on main page so users feel confused at the first step.

Solution

This product gives short steps by providing essential experience to order for users
so they can get their food quickly and easily.

1. Re-order Recent Order

People like to reorder their favorite food again.
So I suggest ‘Recent order list’ move out to homescreen so user can order their favorite food only one tap.

2. See Restaurant Reviews

Restaurant Menu and Reviews both are important to customers.
I designed this product for users don’t need to scroll down a lot to find ‘Restaurant Reviews’.
With Toggle Button, they can switch ‘Restaurant Menu’ to ‘Restaurant Reviews’ simply.

3. Menu Guide

This service provides menu guide for people who are having a hard time deciding what they would eat.
This service gives people not only functional mean but interesting experience
and makes users keep staying much longer in this service.
